An old video of the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar recently resurfaced, capturing a candid moment during one of her interviews.
In the video, she is seen sharing her deeply personal thoughts with the interviewer about her belief in reincarnation and the concept of a next life. Lata Mangeshkar expressed that if there is indeed a next life and she is destined to be reborn, she earnestly prays to God that she is not reborn at all. However, if she must be reborn, she wishes for it to be in India, in Maharashtra, as a boy, and into a simple, modest family.
She went on to explain the reasoning behind this desire. Lataji spoke of the numerous struggles she has faced in her lifetime, particularly the challenges that came with being “Lata Mangeshkar,” a name synonymous with fame and immense talent.
She revealed that the life she has lived, despite its outward success, has been filled with hardships that many might not understand.
She admitted that having experienced the trials and tribulations of being a celebrated figure, she would prefer not to endure them again in another life. The weight of her responsibilities and the sacrifices that came with her career were not something she would want to relive, hence her wish for a simpler existence if she were to be born again.
