Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for five major development projects worth Rs 635 crore in Sonbarsa, highlighting the state’s commitment to progress and security. Addressing the public, Adityanath emphasized that development and safety are the cornerstones of a prosperous future for both current and future generations.

He urged citizens to support government initiatives rather than obstruct them, stressing their importance in shaping a better tomorrow. Adityanath further announced measures to boost entrepreneurship in the state, revealing a two-phase scheme to provide interest-free loans to young entrepreneurs.

Under this scheme, loans of up to Rs 5 lakh will be offered in the first phase, followed by Rs 10 lakh in the second phase. Loan recipients will only need to repay the principal amount, while the government will cover the interest, Adityanath said.

In his speech, the chief minister also discussed infrastructure improvements, including the construction of four-lane roads, ensuring that houses will not be demolished during the process, even if road maps need to be altered. Additionally, affected residents will receive compensation four times the circle rate. Adityanath announced the construction of a new police station in Sonbarsa to further strengthen security in the region.

He encouraged villagers to invest their compensation from land acquisitions into buying farms in remote areas and starting new ventures.

Lauding India’s rapid progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Adityanath said the country has become the world’s fifth-largest economy and is poised to become the third-largest within the next three years. He emphasized that Uttar Pradesh will play a key role in this economic rise.

Reflecting on the past, Adityanath noted the transformation in Gorakhpur, recalling a time when inaugurations and other ceremonies were rare due to widespread encephalitis and crime. Today, he said, Gorakhpur has overcome those challenges and now attracts visits from top national leaders, including the President and Prime Minister.

The new projects and initiatives reflect Yogi Adityanath’s vision for a stronger, more developed Uttar Pradesh that contributes to India’s global stature.
