A hilarious video comparing Indian and Korean homes has taken over the internet by storm. YouTuber Jiwon Park from South Korea, now living in India, shared a video that humourously contrasts the quirky differences between the households in both countries. Her video has become a viral sensation, leaving viewers in the splits. The footage kicks off with Jiwon speaking in Hindi, “India me aane ke bad samjh aya ki Korea aur India ke gharo me kya farak hai (After coming to India, I realised the differences between Korean and Indian homes).”

She highlights several amusing contrasts starting with electronics. In India, electronics are controlled by switches, whereas in Korea, connections are direct and require no switches. She points out that while ceiling fans are a staple in Indian homes, Koreans often use table or stand fans instead.

Finally, Jiwon contrasts guest etiquette, explaining that in Korea, guests must seek permission to enter a home. In India, however, she humourously observes that anyone, including lizards and pigeons can enter without permission.

Though shared over two months ago, Jiwon’s hilarious take on the difference between Indian and Korean households gained significant traction online, amassing over 13 million views. The comment section is buzzing with a variety of reactions.

One user remarked, “now I get it why in kdramas it is easy for male leads to punch the wall more than 10 times.”

A viewer agreed with Jiwon’s take on uninvited guests, sharing, “a lizard is like a rent free roommate of every indian.” Another added, “The guest coming in without permission was so REAL.”

Someone else chimed in with, “The guest one was so funny as an Indian, I totally relate to this.”

A person joked, “You roasted desi families’ houses in 97 ways.”

Many were also impressed by her language skills, with one user commenting, “Very awesome video, moreover your Hindi accent too.”

Jiwon Park has an impressive social media presence with over 8.5 lakh subscribers on YouTube and more than 2 lakh followers on Instagram. Her feed is packed with entertaining videos comparing various aspects of Indian and Korean culture, from cuisines and celebrations to driving style and beyond.
